Pricing and licensing

DameWare Remote Support software is licensed per IT technician, not per computer, with no additional fees for client agents. The number of licenses must correspond with the actual number of people that use the software. For example, if there are 10 technicians running the software and connecting to 10,000 remote machines, a 10-user license is required.

Deployment modes

Standalone deployment

Get up and running quickly and easily with our simple standalone deployment.

With standalone deployment, management of users and licenses is on the individual technician's systems where remote support software is installed and not on a centralized administration server

Standalone deployment is best for organizations that:

  • Have few end-users and computers to support
  • Rarely access computers outside of the firewall
  • Maintain a small or decentralized IT departments

Centralized deployment

Deploying in Centralized mode requires the installation and configuration of the DameWare Central Server and gives organizations access to additional features.

IT departments should decide whether or not these features are needed before deploying in Centralized mode.

  • With large IT departments and large amounts of systems to support
  • With centralized IT departments that support multiple locations
  • That frequently access computers outside of the firewall
